The Local Government Grant program, for funding of arts and cultural projects, is funded by the Borough of Bellefonte and the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts. Decisions on grants are made by an advisory panel that is independent of BHCA. Previous LGG programs have supported exhibits, dance and theater performances, film festivals, and concerts. Click here to see an archive of funded events and projects. Eligible arts projects or events must take place in Bellefonte and be completed by December 31 of the awarding year. Applications must be postmarked no later than April 16 of the awarding year. Special consideration is given to programs for children, senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and other under-served audiences.
The
application and guidelines for 2009 can be downloaded from a link on the
Bellefonte Borough
homepage. The deadline is April 27, 2009.
Award decisions should be made in May, but PA Dept. of the Treasury
funds will not be available until late June/early July. |
