b. Train Station Project:

Nick Pelick explained the terms of the mortgage which has an amortization schedule of twenty (20) years, but, it is hoped, will be paid off in five (5) years.

Although the property does not enjoy tax exempt status, any contributions are deductible.

The Bellefonte Industrial Development Corporation has arranged to make its donation in the form of increased rental payments as its office will be in the Train Station.

c. Historic Site Registration Project:

Rob Fisher announced that two full time employees have been hired to work through June 1976 and research has begun. The office is located on the third floor of the Centre County Library.

In response to questions, Mr. Fisher said that:

70 sites in the County have been identified as potentially eligible for registration.

This is the first major program for historic site registration in the State.

A property must be registered through the State before becoming eligible for Federal registration and therefore matching funds for restoration.

It has been specified that one copy of each application with its accompanying history and photographs be kept on file in the office in Bellefonte.

Mr. Krauss suggested Aaronsburg as a potential site for registration, citing the many historic properties and already documented history of the town and its buildings.

d.  After informal discussion, the meeting was adjourned at 10 o’clock P.M.

                                Respectfully submitted,
