Financial Report
by Dave Eggler (see attached report)

Mark V. asked about the effect of the economy on the Money Market Account.  David K. also inquired about the Money Market Account.  Melady suggested looking into MM account – Centre County Community Foundation Collaborative Account. Dave Eggler said he would look into it.

 Previous Minutes
-were corrected and accepted
-correction: Vic Christmas Deadline was originally October 20th
-
Romayne N. suggested moving the new minutes to the top of the web page instead of the bottom.

Archived Minutes: Dave mentioned he is looking for all the minutes from past meetings to post to the web as far back as possible.
Mark V. found some minutes. True Fisher also has some.  Romayne will check her computer files.

Victorian Christmas, Mark Houser - Chair

Vendors Applications are out, and some have been received. Seems to be a decline due to economic reasons, and there have been two complaints that it is only one day at the same fee as last year. The compliments on the event being one day far outweigh the complaints with all the vendors attending. We have a lot of new people.

The Deadline for applications has been extended to October 30th.

Volunteers so far include:
Dave Eggler – Coffee and Donuts at APS Saturday Morning
True Fisher and Romayne Naylor – Setup at APS Friday
David Kurtz and Mark VanHorn – Kayak Race Event

David K. suggested a new Event to complement Victorian Christmas – Polar Bear Kayak Race on Spring Creek.

He also wondered if there wasn’t something of a historical landmark/museum nature that could be done with the Lime Plant Property – Perhaps a Railroad Historical Site and Mini Railroad restoration. Bob Woodring had a Lime Plant Collection. His heirs might be people to talk to about the idea.

It was suggested that we bring the idea of a historical committee up at the next meeting.

Gallery at the Gamble Mill
Committee needs to check with Gamble Mill to see if it is true they want to change the time of the receptions.

Next Meeting
The next meeting is scheduled for November 13, 2008 at 7PM. [This meeting was subsequently cancelled.]

Meeting Adjourned  at 8:30 PM
Motion was made by Romayne Naylor, seconded by True Fisher
