Presiding: Dave Eggler

The Minutes were approved as read.
The Financial Report (below) was approved as presented.

Arts Administrator: Mark House sent an email that he could not be present at the meeting.   Tuesday nights were not good for him.  He did say Vic Christmas Vendors application will be on the Web.  The Craft Show will be Saturday December  13 only, and Vendors must sign up by October 20.  All volunteers to help with  the craft show should email Mark.

Bylaws. Dave Eggler reported that the Bylaws are with Chuck Brown to approve the  revisions.  Cards are in the mail for the Art Show at the Gallery and  Reception Tuesday, September 23.

The Garman Project.  Dave Eggler reported that BHCA partnered with the Garman in their presentation of Annie in August.  BHCA received corporate donations and ticket sales and disbursed expenses.  Net profit was sent to the Women's Resource Center (see Financial Report).

Talleyrand Park is receiving a grant from the Centre Community Foundation  to do landscaping at the end of the peninsula.

Elections. We need a President!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Elections committee needs to get to work.

The BHCA logo is on the web site -- there are various sizes and colors

The idea of art lectures will be taken up at next meeting.  But the  idea will help artists market their wares.

David Kurtz showed us a poster of his kayak team Mach I and told us a little about  what he is doing.  There will be an open house at the Bellefonte Elementary Thursday, September 18.

Old Minutes. Dave Eggler put minutes on the web from past years.   Many are missing, and members are requested to search their basements for paper minutes and their hard drives for electronic minutes.

Concert. Jim Dunne sent a flyer around in regard to Kaitlyn Lusk in concert  "Homespun," October 7, at Eisenhower with the Nittany Valley Symphony.

Colina Seeley talked about the Benner Township Festival held September  13.  There was a sun  flower "Tahoak u yae",  that was unique.  It was from Johnny's Selected Seeds.  The food served at the  festival by the Methodist Church on Buffalo Run  was charged by what you  wanted to pay for it.   The money was all going toward heating bills  this winter for the poor.

The next meeting will be held at
Café on The Park on October 16 at  7 p.m.

Melady Kehm moved to adjourn  and Gay Dunne seconded the motion.

Respectfully submitted,

JoAnn L. Knupp, Acting Secretary
