BHCA Meeting

Present: Keith Koch, President, Romayne Naylor, Vice President, Jim Dunne, Secretary, Cecil & Sally Houser, Jeanne Newlin, Gay Dunne, Joseph Griffin, Ralph & Colina Seeley, Dick & JoAnn Knupp, Joanne Tosti-Vasey, Mary Vollero, Art Curtze, Dave Kurtz, Patrick North, Julia Kasdorf, Philip Ruth, Melady Kehm, Nancy Miller, and Bruce Manchester, guest. A quorum was in attendance as defined by the BHCA bylaws.

Minutes - Minutes of 10/25/13 were approved (Joanne TV, Sally).

Treasurers Report (Dave Eggler; see below) - Approved.

Committee Reports:
Summer Sounds (JoAnn): 1st meeting of committee will be in January

Sunday Afternoons at the Library (Jim): Sundays, 2:30 PM at CC Library & Historical Museum
     November 17 - AIR DYNAMICS! : Concert was excellent and well attended.
     Next Concert:
February 23, REvamped Duo - Mark and Sally Minnick., violins

Gallery at the Gamble Mill:
     The Perry Winkler Studio - September 14 - January 11
     Senior Students of Centre County Schools January 12 - April 12

Bellefonte Victorian Christmas (Sally, Jim) - Sally presented a draft of the vendors in all three venues which will be available during the Victorian Christmas celebration. Jim will contact Chris Warner to display his models of historic Bellefonte buildings, including a new one of the Bush House. BHCA will have a table at the Middle School.

Bylaws - No report.

Old House Fair - No report

The Garman - Bruce Manchester brought us up-to-date on legal issues.

New Business:
     Historic Preservation Committee
: Jim proposed a committee to establish a committee to be proactive in addressing Bellefonte’s historic buildings in jeopardy and to promote community support of historic preservation. A motion to establish the Historic Preservation Committee (Jim, Dave K) was passed by voice vote. Members of the committee: Joanne TV, JoAnn K, Sally, Gay, Romayne, Philip, Jeanne, Dave K.

     Colina recommended that we establish poetry reading as part of the arts offering of BHCA. It was suggested as an agenda item for the next general meeting,
