Present: Romayne Naylor, President, Keith Koch, Vice President, Jim Dunne, Secretary, Dave Eggler, Treasurer, Gay Dunne, Melady Kehm, Joanne Tosti-Vasey; Jeanne Newlin, Colina Seeley, Ralph Seeley; Nancy Miller, Joseph Griffin, Patrick North, True Fisher, Nancy Perkins. A quorum was in attendance as defined by the BHCA bylaws.

Treasurer’s Report (Dave Eggler) click here to read the report - PCA grant received. Victorian Christmas will be ~ $3600 net. Treasurer’s report approved (Keith, True).

Committee Reports:
Summer Sounds (Nancy Miller):
Tentative schedule is set, but will need to juggle to insert Repaz, the oldest non-military band in continuous existence in the United States.

Sunday Afternoons at the Library: Next Concerts - Sundays, 2:30 PM; Arietta Women’s Ensemble, flute - March 15; Nittany Wind Quintet, March 29

Gallery at the Gamble Mill: Closed till further notice. Mill is still on the market. We have received no communication on its sale or reopening.

Bellefonte Victorian Christmas (Romayne): Negotiating with Fullington Bus Co. to provide overnight tour busses to join the 2 Conestoga buses that serviced Vic Christmas in 2014. An information booth is needed at the Middle School.

Poetry (Colina): Feb 20 Bellefonte Moth was well attended. Quite a few young people were there.

Old House Fair (Melady): Negotiations with Match Factory are favorable. Too many competing events for the October dates has pushed the time to spring of 2016. The Centre County Historical Society is very interested. Unable to obtain grants for October dates.

Historic Preservation Committee: (Jeanne). The committee is looking into trips to Brookville and Lewisburg. There could be a cooperative association established. Brief discussion of the Centre County as storage for historic documents.  Silk Mill Section 106 review : Final draft of MOA still in preparation before circulation to consulting parties.

New Business:

Brochure distribution in welcome centers. How many brochures would we need to provide? Kia Ebersole, ABACA, is contact person.

Letter of Support to HBI - For marketing grant. (Jim)

Curtin Village - Respond to Gary’s letter. Click here to read the letter about Curtin Village. We support CPI for assistance. Bellefonte Superintendent of Schools is interested. May a friends group. (Gary’s letter attached)

Volunteer Fair - Nancy Miller, Melady and Jim will represent BHCA

Train schedule for fall - October 16, 17, 18; Dec. 18, 19, 20.

The Bellefonte Area High School Art Club is hosting an “Empty Bowls” dinner to benefit the Faith Centre- 5-7pm, Friday March 27

Next BHCA Meeting: 7 PM, Friday, March 27, at the Bellefonte Art Museum.
