Present: Romayne Naylor, President, , Joseph Griffin, Vice-President, Jim Dunne, Secretary; Dave Eggler, Treasurer; Melady Kehm, Keith Koch, Patrick North, True Fisher, Jeanne Newlin, Joanne Tosti-Vasey, Sally Houser, Nancy Miller, Karen Arnold, Mack Mahan. The summer concert schedule was presented -- the cards and posters . A quorum was in attendance as defined by the BHCA bylaws.

Minutes – Minutes of 2017- 12-17 were approved (True, Joseph).

Treasurer’s Report (Dave Eggler) – Freight Warehouse expense reviewed. Click here to view the report.

Committee Reports

Summer Sounds (Nancy Miller) – The concert schedule was presented. The cards & posters will be ordered soon. Sally will place an ad. Sally & Romayne will pursue the Garver fund donation.

Sunday Afternoons at the Library - Sundays, 2:30 PM, Centre County Library Historical Museum

          Next concert: May 14 - Curtin Street Chamber Players

Victorian Christmas (Sally, Jim) – No report.

Poetry (Julia, Patrick) - Elder Voices in Centre County - May 19, Friday, 6 p.m., Bellefonte Art Museum - new writing by members of groups facilitated by Abby Minor

Old House Fair (Joseph, Melady, Jeanne), April 28 & 29, 2017 – Joseph reported that there was very good attendance Friday evening at the dinner. The programs were very good, but attendance was low. Seven graduate students from the Pratt Institute attended. The committee is planning an early June date next year.

Historic Preservation (Jeanne) - Joanne reviewed the tour of the Markland Hotel, current home of the VFW. The members of the VFW like the community programming at their facility.

Talleyrand Park (True) – The OLLI course on April 24th was very popular and well-attended. The Park signs (Victorian Signs) should be up soon.

New Business – We should have a party in the fall to attract new members.

Next BHCA Meeting: Friday, Sept. 8 [changed to Sept 15]
